I paint portraits, figures, and objects in oil on canvas, as well as mixed media and collage works that reflect community, grief and history of American culture, from the perspective of the black experience. My work is rooted in the belief that our personal stories are inseparable from our collective past. By connecting historical narratives to contemporary experiences, I invite viewers to reflect on identity, resilience, and the ways our shared humanity continues to shape the present.
