Jessy DeSantis

Raised in a Nicaraguan household in Miami, FL and now residing in Baltimore City, Jessy DeSantis is a self-taught, queer artist and single parent creating deeply meaningful, vibrant work. Inspired by nature, food, family, and their Central American roots, Jessy uses their paintings to reclaim the cultural and ancestral teachings lost to colonization, displacement, and migration. Beyond their visual appeal, each piece carries intention and stories of heritage and truth. Through their art, Jessy seeks to pass on these complex narratives to their community, children, and future generations
